About Me

Sue Lepp “The Irreverent Reverend”

Time for an update! SEPTEMBER 2025

I am a proudly Canadian citizen who has lived in the UK since 2007. Over the last 18 years I completed a Master’s degree in Palliative & End of Life Care and worked as a Macmillan Nurse (in a few specialities) in London at Northwick Park and Barts & The Royal London Hospitals. I trained as a Nurse in Canada at the University of Alberta. My nursing specialities were: Palliative Care, Gynaecology-Oncology and a bit of Orthopaedics (just to keep me travelling).

I then changed careers completely! Turned out I wasn’t meant to be a life-long church volunteer but rather a leader, pastor and preacher and the Church of England is the place I need to do this. I studied at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford for 2 glorious years. Best time I have had as an adult. I served my curacy in the Parish of Langley Marish, Slough. While here I started volunteering with Thames Valley P0lice as a Volunteer Chaplain (2018-2023).

I moved from Slough in early 2021 to take up the post of Interim Priest-in-Charge of the Hambleden Valley Group of Churches between Marlow & Henley. In August 2023, I moved to Charlwood, Surrey to take up the postsof Lead Chaplain of Gatwick Airport and Rector of the United Benefice of St Nicholas Charlwood & Emmanuel, Sidlow Bridge.
